My Desires Unthawed

The blossoms begin blooming and spring has sprung As March rolls around we're all high strung For in fall and winter we become incomplete And succumb to the everlasting taste of defeat March sprints in after a month of waiting Easing our hearts that continue on aching But no where can I earn my reward For facing dastardly weather that all abhorred Trucks and cars line against the gray lot Leaving no space for any open spot With sorrow in my heart I watch the line As vehicles assemble in an unorderly design The promises of tomorrow ease the ache That run through in the midst of this wake The day after brings on a new hope As I watch the family car rushing past a familiar slope But not everything ends on a h appy note And the sights I see leave a lump in my throat The u-turn leaves my stomach empty and sick The realization of the day hits me like a brick One last day is all I can muster Compared to before, my feelings are lackluster But soon enough, my swell with tears After seeing the place that I've visited for years Empty and barren, few cars in sight Just as fast as before, my heart fills with dellight A voice speaks from beyond to ask my desires All while I search for what my brain requires The window of eternal happieness is finally reached My excited tires halted and screeched I grap the container of love and pure bliss A reminder of gratitude in this eternal abyss I grab my tools and begin my job Of searching for meaning in this frozen blob My goal is reached and I begin to feast On the horrid amalgamation of an edible beast The visual presentation is quite poor For the creation that hid within such grandeur The final lick covers my entire soul With a frosty finish that makes my body whole The feelings of euphoria swim in my mind like fish For the ice cream shop to be open year-round is my only other wish
