A's Matter?

A’s matter?
What am I without my straight A’s
I have a lot without them
But I still live in fear of losing them

I check my grades in every class because
What if I fail the test
I can’t try my best
And forget the rest
Because I over stress not getting the A’s

I wish I could go back to when I could try my best
And forget the rest
Because the A’s didn’t get prize-box prizes
And getting scholarships wasn’t on my mind

I wish I could go back to when I could try my best
And forget the rest
Because I wasn’t over comparing my grades to my friends
Because A’s never got talked about in elementary school
And B’s didn’t affect us getting our class jobs

I wish I could still try my best
And forget the rest but the rest is simple to much.
