Description
Lossing a loved one
Abstract
Loosing a loved one is like having a rug swept out from underneath your feet. We were making plans for Christmas and not thinking twice about how someone can be taken away in the blink of an eye. I never thought much about it until I lost my aunt so unexpectedly just two days before Christmas.
I don’t think people really think about your family having to face tragedy until they are faced with the phone call that your loved one is no longer on this earth. The shock, the denial that they are really gone is hard to except at the age of 7 and even harder today at age of 10. It was hard to understand she’s never coming to another birthday party, holiday, or vacation. I remember asking my mom if I prayed hard would God allow my aunt to come back, and my mom saying that’s not how heaven works.
