A Girl and Her Horse

Abstract

My love of horses started when I was around 3 years old. My Uncle Scott wanted a horse so him and my aunt Sherri started looking and they bought a black horse and her name is Beauty. I loved her from the first time I saw her and knew she was going to be my best friend and no matter what my uncle scott said Beauty was my horse now not his. I started Showing Beauty in horse shows soon after and never stopped. Me and Beauty have a special bond and she always takes care of me when I am riding. My Aunt Sherri teaches me everything I need to know about riding horses and taking care of them. I am lucky to have her for my Aunt.
In September 2021 my Aunt Sherri invited me to the Alabama World Championship I was so excited I did not know if we could go it was far away and My Dad did not want me to miss school but My mom told me she would do anything to make my dreams come true and she did she talked my Dad into driving all the way to Alabama so I could show in just 2 classes. I was so excited and started practicing right away with Beauty for some reason Beauty started acting bad she can have a attitude sometimes. I started riding her more to get her tired so she would act better. Learning new things is best so I started staying at the barn more learning all I could from my Aunt because she is the best horse rider and teacher. The night before we left Ill helped pack my stuff in the horse trailer i couldn't sleep that night i was so excited. We left early and it took 10 hours to get there we checked into the Hotel and headed straight to the barn I was so happy to finally be there and start showing my girl. The next day I practiced and Practiced and beauty started acting up and getting hyper because the speed horses were practicing too and they were throwing her off her game I was scared because I didn't want her to do that in my class but my coach Jimmy talked me through everything and made me feel better. Finally it was show time I was so nervous my mom told me to go in the ring like i own the place and thats what I did Me and Beauty did our best and I placed 3rd in the world and thats a big deal. My Aunt Sherri was so happy and proud she was screaming so loud it was the best day of my life. Dreams come true if you work hard and never give up.
