The Adventures of Pip

Abstract

Pip the fox woke up and let out a loud yawn. Today he was going on a adventure. He
hopped out of bed and got ready. Pip grabbed his bag and packed his lunch, first aid kit, and
map. As he got to the living room his mom said “Where are you going?” Pip said “I'm going on
an adventure!” His mom said “Without breakfast?” So he had breakfast. He told his mom he
would be back by dinner and ran out the door.
Pip ran to his little sail boat and hopped in. He looked at his map and set sail. Pip decided
to take a nap. When he woke up he saw an island in the distance. When he got to the island he
docked his boat and got out. Pip looked around, the island was mostly beach but there was some
forest. He had heard legends of a magical shell that shined like glitter. He started looking around.
After a little bit of looking around he decided to have lunch. He had a sandwich, grapes,
and a apple juice. As he was finishing his sandwich he saw a glimmer in the distance. He ran to it
and saw the shell. He picked up the shell and put it in his bag. He decided to go to the forest and
look for something to make the shell into a necklace. As he was walking he saw a thin vine that
would be good for making the shell into a necklace. The problem was the vine was really high
up. Pip jumped and jumped and jumped but he just couldn't get it. Then a little deer came up to
him. “Do you need help?” the deer said. “Yes!” said Pip. The deer said “hop on my back.” Pip
climbed onto the deer's back and was finally able to get the vine. “Thank you!” said Pip. “How
will I ever be able to repay you?” The deer said “I am very hungry, do you have anything to eat?”
Pip pulled out the leftover grapes from his bag and gave them to the deer. The deer said “thank
you,” and left.
Pip decided to go home. He ran to the boat and set sail. As he was sailing home he made
the shell into a necklace and put it in his bag. Pip had a little nap and when he woke up he was
back home. He got out of his boat and ran home. “Mom I'm home!” Pip said. His mom came
from the kitchen and said “Did you have a good time?” Pip said “yes, I had a great time, and I
got you this.” He pulled the necklace out of his bag and gave it to his mom. “Thank you!” said
his mom. Pip hugged his mom.
