Coon Hunting

Abstract

On a cold winter night smoke came up from a cabin. My coon dogs are barking at a coon and it’s hissing back. I shined my flashlight in the tree where the coon was. It’s eyes were
glowing.I said come on let’s go.
We went back to the cabin. I hope the dogs up and went to bed. The next night we treed and four and the fourth one was big the dog treed him and I said that is the one. I pulled my gun up “crack” he fell. Skip grabbed it Skip started to shake his head.
Blue wanted to join in but Skip wouldn’t let him. I said “HEY let me have it!” He didn’t come then I said NOW! Then he came to me. I put my hand down and he gave it to me the coon to me.
We went back to our cabin and eat dinner. The next night we trade five or six and went home. We waited for a few days before going out again. We went in didn’t see anything we headed home and we saw a fox.
Later that week I went to my buddies house. He had some red tick coon hounds. I looked at them and said can I have that one he said yes I said thank you. So I trained him and he treated his first kid his name was Dan.
One day my buddy brought his coon dogs over. So we had six dogs treating one coon at a time. But sometimes we would treed two coons at a time and we would have to split up.He had to read ticks and one blue ticks I had three red ticks. We all continue to coon hunt and we lived happily ever after.
